The Bible is God inspired.
The Bible has many authors and was written across thousands of years. The constant factor that holds it all together is the inspiration of God. We believe that the Bible holds the key to re-establishing the relationship between God and people.
There is only one true God.
We believe that there is one God. We also believe that He is too big to be contained in a singular person, so He is expresses Himself in the persons of the Father, Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit. This belief in what theologians call the Trinity is core to our understanding of God and how He relates to people.
Jesus is God.
Jesus wasn't just a guy who lived 2000 years ago and said we should all be nice to each other. We believe that Jesus is God who was born as a man, lived a perfect life, and died in our place to save us from our sins. Three days later he rose again, defeating death and providing us an eternal hope.
Man willingly fell into sin.
Humans have something inherently wrong with them. While we want to do right our propensity to do wrong looms over us instead. This darkness came to us from our first ancestors, Adam and Eve, but we need to own it as well.
Everyone can have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
God knew man needed help and sent Jesus as a man to give it. Jesus paid the price for our sin with His death on the cross. He provided a way to eternal life with his Resurrection. Today we can know God through the door He opened.
Everyone has a place and a part in what God is doing.
Serving God isn't for the spiritual elite, it is for everyone. God has a place for each person. From helping out at church to sharing your faith, each person can make the world a better place.
